In this role you will own the “first look” of troubleshooting on our imaging or LCS equipment and perform preventative maintenance, inspections and/or field modifications. You will also have the opportunity to work and learn from some of our most skilled and experienced Field Engineers to evaluate basic customer biomedical equipment issues, implement repairs and assist with equipment installations in Richmond, VA.At GE Healthcare, our machines, our software, our solutions, our services, and our people make a genuine difference to medical professionals and patients all over the world. Job Description
Responsibilities
Responds to service calls to evaluate, diagnose, and perform repair and planned maintenance on customers' basic biomedical equipment to support the ability to effectively deliver healthcare services to patients.
Performs Preventative Maintenance, Safety/Environmental Inspections, and Field Modification Instruction in one or more modalities of equipment, ensuring equipment and systems are fully operational to support the timely delivery of healthcare services to patients.
Maintains communication with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction.
Basic Qualifications
Associate degree, Bachelor’s degree, military education, participant in the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program; OR High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of experience servicing electrical, electronics, IT or mechanical equipment.
Valid Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications
Candidate must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit and stand for long periods of time.
Candidate must also be able to reach at, above and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck and have good hand and finger dexterity. Specific vision abilities required by this job may include color, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
Willingness to be available ""after hours" or work a rotating On-Call schedule, including weekends, for critical issues and coverage, as necessary.
