Tree service seeks Climber/Crewleader/Driver (Austin/Leander/Georgetown)

Full Canopy Tree Care has proudly served the Austin, TX metro area since 2003 with a full range of tree care services. We seek to hire full time Climbers/Crewleaders/Drivers to provide professional tree care for our clients. The hourly wages for these positions start at $17 per hour and go up to $35 for fully qualified and experienced candidates. Wages are negotiable depending upon job experience, skills, and certifications. Full Canopy can provide paid training, opportunities for tree care industry certifications, and career advancement to candidates who demonstrate aptitude for this skilled trade. We provide paid holidays, paid training, workers comp insurance for employee protection, available overtime, and a flexible schedule.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

-A valid driver’s license with minimum 3 years clean driving history, and over 21 years old (required by insurance)

-Experience towing equipment trailers or chippers

-Experience in the operation of chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, skid steers or stump grinders

-Experience in climbing skills (rope and saddle climbing techniques, rigging techniques, tree felling techniques or rock climbing/cell tower climbing skills a plus)

-Commitment to a safety-first company culture

PREFERRED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

-Experience managing and leading teams of climbers and groundcrew in the tree care industry, OR similar experience in a similar industry

-Professional experience in rope and saddle climbing techniques, rigging techniques, tree felling techniques, and proper arboriculture pruning practices

-Military service experience

-Mechanical aptitude

-ISA Certifications such as: Certified Tree Worker or Certified Arborist

-CDL – Commercial Driver’s License
