StoneGate Senior Living in Oklahoma City, OK has an opportunity for a Clinical Educator PRN LPN or LVN to join our team!
The Clinical Educator PRN LPN or LVN will provide adequate and appropriate education and supervision to students of the training programs as required by state and federal standards under the direction of the RN Supervisor.
The areas of clinical education include (but not limited to) leadership training, clinical skills and standards education, competency skill training, new employee position specific orientation. These programs are designed to meet the training needs of both the Centers and Corporate initiatives that adhere to the vision and mission of StoneGate Senior Living, LLC.
Additionally, the design of the programs should enhance the skills and abilities of the employees and reflect measurable, quality outcomes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Provides education to students in skills pertinent to their job duties in a skill lab or in a clinical setting.
- Performs competency checklist to ensure understanding of skills.
- Provides education in the following areas: infection control, communication and interpersonal skills, safety, and emergency procedures, choking, resident rights, care of Alzheimer’s residents, and abuse.
- Develop and maintain a good working rapport with interdepartmental personnel, as well as other departments within the facility.
- Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent employee information.
- Performs other related assignments as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess, as a minimum, a practical license to practice in the State and have at least one year of experience in the practice of the profession.
- Must demonstrate competence in clinical skills and education of adults.
- Must possess knowledge of basic computer systems and display a comfortability with utilizing.
- Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of teamwork and team concept.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
- Must possess the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
- Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
- Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices.
- Must be able to relate information clearly and concisely.
- Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
