This role is intended to provide significant support to the Nursing school through the location of clinical placement sites intended to enhance student learning objectives, placement of students into clinical sites based on their learning needs, and maintaining responsibility for all activities required to ensure that the college is in compliance with all activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Work with program directors and Assistant Deans to proactively assess future college needs and develop long term plan around clinical site needs.
2. Recruit, secure, and maintain relationships with clinical liaisons for purposes of placement at clinical sites.
3. Confirm and schedule preceptors for graduate clinicals.
4. Communicate with preceptors and clinical agencies to ensure student rosters and required paperwork from clinical sites are completed on all preceptors and clinical faculty.
5. Solicit and maintain updated records on credentialing and licensure on preceptors and clinical faculty for college files. Report information to the State Board as required.
6. Coordinate clinical placements for students each semester.
7. Coordinate and facilitate required student paperwork and orientation information for various clinical sites. Ensure all students are compliant with clinical agency requirements. Ensure all student background information is completed in a timely manner.
8. Establish and maintain relationships with representatives of the agencies in which students are placed to maintain a variety of clinical practice sites for students. Handle questions and concerns from partner agencies to ensure successful relationships.
9. Coordinate with program leaders to compile and review site evaluations and appropriateness to ensure positive student experience.
10. Develop, update, and maintain databases of student assignments, preceptors, clinical sites, site requirements and site evaluations to allow for better planning.
11. Draft, coordinate and maintain contracts between clinical sites and the college.
12. Collaborate with program directors and Assistant Dean for Graduate Programs to develop preceptor recognition and enhancement opportunities.
13. Participate in Southeast Wisconsin Nursing Association (SEWNA) meetings to collaborate with schools and healthcare organizations on student requirements for clinical placement and address challenges of clinical placement requirements in the region.
14. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor’s degree required
1 – 3 years of applicable experience

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage details through multiple initiatives.
Ability to effectively prioritize work to meet deadlines.
Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external individuals.
Strong interest in providing a positive student learning experience.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Master’s degree preferred.
