Overview:
The Cloud Architect role will focus on a wide range of IT services through migration to the Intelligence Community (IC) information sharing, secure cloud-based operational environment, the Intelligence Community’s Information Technology Enterprise (ICITE) along with an array of technical expertise and analytical support which allows DOE and the United States Intelligence Community (USIC) to detect, protect, mitigate, and counter hostile threats directed against DOE networks and critical national assets

BlueWater Federal is looking for a Cloud Architect to design and manage Azure, O365 and AWS environments and to act as a lead in defining and executing systems engineering activities within a project such as process definition and workflow management on our program supporting the Department of Energy (DOE).
The Cloud Architect role will focus on a wide range of IT services through migration to the Intelligence Community (IC) information sharing, secure cloud-based operational environment, the Intelligence Community’s Information Technology Enterprise (ICITE) along with an array of technical expertise and analytical support which allows DOE and the United States Intelligence Community (USIC) to detect, protect, mitigate, and counter hostile threats directed against DOE networks and critical national assets
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for architecting and developing Cloud Computing technologies (Azure, O365, AWS)
- Utilize best practices for implementing SOPs and creating documentation for the current and future Cloud environments
- Analyze and develop technical documentation detailing the integration and system performance or information security
- Administration of Azure, O365 and AWS environments across multiple networks, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.
- Provide daily routine operations and maintenance
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for Cloud environments.
- Manage and complete all support tickets in a timely manner
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- Must have an active Top Secret clearance; highly desired is a TS with SSBI within last 2 years or Q clearance or SCI.
- 15+ years of IT infrastructure solution engineering and service delivery experiences, including solution areas in data center operations, server (Windows, Linux, other), LAN/WAN network, storage, virtualization, cloud, database, and security. Strong experience leading the design and integration of enterprise-level technical solutions.
- 4+ years of in-depth experience on system disaster recovery/COOP and backup solution engineering, implementation, and operation management.
- 5+ years of in-depth experience in VMWare and other virtualization technologies.
- 5+ years of strong experience with enterprise storage solutions (SAN/NAS) and associated thin provisioning, replication, automated tiering, continuous backup solutions.
