Job description
Primary Objectives:
- Provide in-house geometric inspection of customers’ parts, fixtures, and dies via CMM inspection.
Specific Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned and changed as needed)
- Conduct part inspections via PolyWorks CMM inspection software
- Analyze data collected from part inspections and provide summary of results
- Generate CMM reports
- Provide support to relevant parties based on measurement results
- Issue calibrated precision measurement tools for use in production
Requirements:
- High School/GED (required)
- BS/BA/Technical Degree in Computer Science or Mechanical Engineering (not required but is a plus)
- Good math skills (understands 3D coordinate systems, point vectors, algebra, statistics)
- Can use precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, digital indicators, etc.)
- Microsoft Excel (proficient in writing excel formulas and creating charts)
- Advanced problem-solving skills (can solve problems with little information available)
- Highly detail oriented (cares about making sure CMM reports contain accurate data and are free of any grammatical errors)
- GD&T
- Coding/Macros (not required but is a plus)
