Job description
Snelling has an immediate need for a CNC Machine Operator in the Bessemer, AL area! A machinist must be able to use different machines such as: lathes, milling machines, saws, or grinders to cut and produce uniform, precise parts. A machinist must also be able to repair, rebuild or overhaul all types of production and service equipment in the facility. They must be able to read blueprints and manufacturing drawings. All responsibilities must be completed in an efficient and effective manner.Shift/Pay: 1st shift hours. $16.50/hr,
Duties and Responsibilities for CNC Machine Operator:
- Machine parts and maintain machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, saws, or grinders
- Fit and assemble parts to make or repair machine tools
- Set up machines for operations and set up metalworking, brazing, heat-treating, welding, or cutting equipment
- Maintain all equipment in operational condition
- Use hand and power tools
- Execute precise measurements
- Must be able to read blueprints and engineering drawings
- Knowledge of welding and precision measuring tools and equipment
- Eager to learn
- High mechanical aptitude
- Results driven
- Attention to detail
- 2+ years of CNC or other related machine operating experience required
