CNC Machining Engineer-World Class Automotive

• We have multiple openings for experienced CNC Machining Engineers for our World Class Automotive Client located in Shelbyville, Ind. These are Direct Hire positions

Keys

Makino CNC with ABB robots

Supports machining operation with machine programming expertise and manages machining process for higher productivity. Develops competitive processing solutions to customer requests. Assists with quoting potential new business.

· Generates ideas on new manufacturing processes, prepares proposals required for approval and implementation of new projects. Develops time estimates and turnkey proposals for specific customer requests. Assists with quoting new business, including fixturing, tools, and engineering activities.

· Promotes training to and practice of approved process standards, process control plans and troubleshooting work standards.

· Creates effective machine demonstrations for customers within the market. As needed, provides demonstrations for customers visiting on site.

· Provides engineering support to the machining departments for problems that require engineering expertise. Works to optimize manufacturing operations, such as minimum production of defectives, maximize machine up time, cycle time and reduce process variability.

· Performs test cuts for specific customer applications. Documentation of the testing and presentation of the test cut to the customer are part of this responsibility.

· Other projects as assigned.

· Prepares required reports on machining operation for continual improvement.

· Keeps abreast of new processes, materials, etc., through a planned reading program, formal training courses, seminars, membership in technical societies, visitations to

trade shows, vendors, and other manufacturing facilities.

· Has some input into budget creation

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
