Job description

This staff person shall function as a client intake specialist in the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), having primary responsibilities for providing energy assistance to potential clients.

This staff person shall be responsible for working directly with the client to provide for the energy assistance needs of the client. It shall be the responsibility of this staff person to ensure that all necessary documents are obtained during the client intake process, link the client to any necessary resources to obtain assistance, provide client referrals, participate in any agency out-reach efforts to enhance program services and delivery, and ensure that all files are submitted to program manger for review and filing to ensure program compliance.

Must be computer literate – experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. Good Communication skills. Must have a valid Florida operator’s license and access to an automobile. Must possess knowledge of the assigned area. Must be able to travel in and out of county as necessary

High School diploma or GED. Have at least two year’s experience in working in a Human Services oriented program.'
