Provide support to behavioral health clients to ensure their successful integration into the community. This position will have a caseload of adults diagnosed with a mental illness, at risk of or previously homeless. The Community Counselor I will liaise with landlords and service providers to foster an on-going therapeutic relationship supportive of the client's individual recovery and goals. The Community Counselor I will also assist in maintaining the client's independence in the community by encouraging the development of daily living skills, and managing linkages and referrals as needed. All meetings will be conducted in client apartments.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or closely related field, and a minimum of one year paid, behavioral health experience.
Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and personal automobile. Must be vaccinated, and pass all background checks, including a drug screening.
