HR Operations & Compensation Analyst
Overview
Marotta is seeking an individual to join our service-focused HR Operations Team overseeing HR processes and systems which include compensation, HRIS, payroll and timekeeping. The HR Operations Analyst is a new quantitative and process-oriented role reporting directly to the HR Operations Manager.
To succeed in this role, you will be self-motivated with outstanding organizational and time management skills, have a quantitative and project-oriented mindset with the ability to partner well with others. You will be a continuous learner, open to new perspectives and transformative ideas. You enjoy quantitive modeling and analysis of potential policy and practice changes as well as measuring the performance of Marotta’s current programs. You will play a critical role in helping deliver an exceptional employee experience and enabling the work of HR. You will foster high levels of collaboration and coordination between HR Operations and the HR Business Partners to ensure effective service delivery and agility to achieve Marotta’s business priorities.
Responsibilities
This position is responsible for supporting compensation analysis activity for Marotta Controls, including salary and incentive plan administration, market analysis, compensation program administration, and is accountable for the integrity of all salary data maintained in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS). In addition, this position will provide back up support to HRIS and Payroll. Essential responsibilities and duties will include but are not limited to, the following:
Compensation Analysis
  • Assist in the administration of the organization's annual salary and bonus processes.
  • Complete market assessment of annual and incentive plans and coordinate the use of these programs with the business units ensuring corporate requirements are met.
  • Perform job benchmarking processes to ensure compensation competitiveness in job markets.
  • Evaluate and analyze compensation practices, support market pricing methodology, compensation modeling and perform advanced analytics.
  • Work collaboratively with HR/Management to determine HR/People Data analysis and reporting needs.
  • Build comprehensive compensation models and analyze compensation data to determine a meaningful and actionable strategy.
  • Support salary surveys for our business and participate in them.
  • Serve as a back-up to the Payroll Administrator for the bi-weekly payroll processing and weekly timekeeping activity
HRIS
  • Serve as a back-up to the HRIS HR Operations Specialist, verify employee information to ensure data integrity, work on HRIS projects and handling data requests
Payroll and Timekeeping
  • Serve as a back-up to the Payroll Administrator for the bi-weekly payroll processing and weekly timekeeping activity
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and 3+ years of HR Operations experience including compensation and payroll, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of compensation practices, processes, and compensation software (salary.com, PayScale, etc.)
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive market pricing studies
  • Excellent knowledge and experience using Paycom, implementing system features, providing HR metrics and
  • analytics
  • Advanced skill set in Microsoft Excel to include pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, and mail merges
  • Must be a US Citizen
