As a Compensation Consultant, you’ll be providing professional level compensation consulting services to employers including compensation structure assessment and design, market pay assessments, incentive plans, equal pay analyses, classification support and compensation strategy consulting.
Other responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Director of Compensation with work to evaluate and implement base and variable pay delivery systems that best support achievement of the employer’s compensation objectives.
- Performing equity analytical services to help employers identify and address wage disparities and recommend adjustments to their pay practices and policies to promote equality.
- Determining project requirements, gathering information related to jobs to be studied, compiling market data from multiple market survey sources, developing market-based pay structures, summarizing relationships between organization and market pay practices, and providing findings, approaches, and finalizing assessments.

- Comprehensive benefits. Taking care of you is important to us. This position is full time, exempt with a competitive compensation range from approximately $70,000 - $85,000 based on experience. Our benefit program includes health, vision, dental insurance, STD, LTD and a 401(k) plan with a 3% contribution. We also have generous paid time off (starting at 18 days per year) along with 12 paid holidays. In addition, we have a volunteer time off (VTO) program, and opportunities to attend free HR classes.
To perform the work in this role, you should have the following:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Human Resources, Business Management or other similar field. CCP or HR certification through SHRM or HRCI in lieu of a degree may be an option.
- Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Compensation Analyst or similar position.
- Two or more years of HR Generalist experience is helpful.
- Strong communication (both verbal and written) and leadership skills are required to work effectively with all levels in an organization and in a variety of industries.
- Exceptional customer service skills required.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple on-going projects are required to assure service and product credibility and quality.
- Strong analytical skills required.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Adobe Acrobat preferred and ability to learn new software programs.
