Summary: Under the supervision of legal counsel, the Compliance Paralegal will support and assist the Legal Department’s compliance function with the application and expansion of compliance efforts, including anti-bribery, privacy and other policies that apply across the organization. This person will be a dedicated resource for the Compliance group, but may also work with other Legal Department groups (Corporate, Patent, Trademark) as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and tracking materials related to the Company’s compliance efforts, including but not limited to policies and procedures, compliance reports, compliance rates and related correspondence.
  • Assisting with the preparation of legal documents, including correspondence, agreements, policies, guidelines, and presentation materials.
  • Review and administration related to (i) data privacy, including data subject rights requests, (ii) anti-bribery, including due diligence reports and (iii) compliance-related audit requests.
  • Administering and tracking participation of employees for corporate-wide compliance initiatives including Code of Conduct training, anti-bribery, privacy and other compliance trainings, conflicts of interest disclosures, and compliance certifications.
  • Reviewing, commenting, and revising various materials for accuracy, completeness and consistency. Conducting legal and compliance-related research as needed.
  • Supporting the Legal Department and Compliance team in company-wide initiatives and multi-departmental projects, as needed.
  • Performing other administrative duties and related tasks, as requested.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred. Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies and/or Certificate in Paralegal Studies will be considered. Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel required.
  • At least three years of compliance, litigation and/or corporate paralegal experience; familiarity with due diligence and/or records retention, including privacy and data protection protocols, a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; detail-oriented and very organized.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills and willingness to take ownership of special projects and drive them to successful completion.
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to produce reliably error-free work product.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, including ability to be professional, efficient, and thoughtful in both in-person settings and in written materials (emails, chats, written work product).
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently while multitasking, and with a high energy level in a fast-paced environment.
  • A team player yet be able to work independently and collaboratively.
