General Summary
Works cooperatively with Western Michigan University athletic department staff, coaches, and student-athletes to resolve and monitor compliance-related issues. This includes daily monitoring, rules interpretations, and on-going student-athlete services in the areas of recruiting, initial eligibility, and playing and practice seasons.
Major Duties
- Works cooperatively with Athletics Department coaches, staff and student-athletes to monitor documentation of contacts, evaluations, correspondence, unofficial visits, and official visits throughout the recruiting process.
- Coordinates sports camp scheduling and compliance with coaching staffs, facilities staff, medical services staff, media relations staff, and ticket office staff to ensure NCAA rules are followed through the completion of camp activities.
Coordinates playing and practice season declarations and monitoring with Athletics Department coaches and staff.
Assists with initial eligibility reviews, transcript evaluations, and Eligibility Center tasks for incoming student-athletes.
Assists with research and preparation of NCAA waivers as deemed applicable.
Assists with providing NCAA and MAC rules interpretations.
Assists with rules education program as assigned.
Assists with investigation and preparation of rules violation reports.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited institution.
- One year’s relevant experience.
Experience with National Collegiate Athletic Association( NCAA) compliance.

- Master’s degree in related field from an accredited institution.
- One year’s relevant experience.
