BAE Systems is seeking an Intermediate Computer Scientist to join our team supporting the United States Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC), Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center under the Cyber Security & Information Assurance (CSIA) Support Services contract located at the Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The C5ISR Center is an applied research and advanced technology development center which develops and integrates C5ISR technologies that enable information dominance and decisive lethality for the networked Warfighters. The C5ISR Center provides the Army with secure communications/networking technologies through R&D innovations. The successful candidate will serve as a Computer Scientist supporting CSIA engineering and operations.
This position conducts and supports the design, development, and testing of the applied research, maturing these technologies through software development to transition to other R&D programs within the C5ISR Center Directorates. This includes requirements analysis, design, and coding methodologies; data base design approaches; designing and developing software; building out networks for the software to run on; integrating commercial or open-source software into government R&D projects; or conducting rigorous cyber testing of cybersecurity R&D software/systems for technologies; and developing technologies to be integrated into current or future Army tactical networks.
The candidate must have strong analytical problem solving, multi-tasking, and teamwork skills, willing to work with new technologies, be highly organized and capable of planning and coordinating multiple tasks. The position also requires advanced experience in software engineering and programming for large computers, minicomputer and microprocessor based applications. The position will require ability to work independently with sensitive and confidential information, maintain a professional demeanor, work as a team member without daily supervision and effectively communicate with diverse groups of clients.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Minimum education of Bachelor's Degree. Minimum degree requirement of Engineering Degree, or a Related Scientific or Technical discipline is required
- Minimum years of experience of 10 years. 8 years of additional Relevant Experience may be substituted for education requirement
- Current Secret level security clearance
- Must have advanced experience in software engineering and programming for large computers, minicomputer and microprocessor based applications
- Professionally recognized cybersecurity certifications per DoDD 8140.01 and DoD 8570.01-M / IAT-II
