At CooperSurgical we are currently looking to recruit a Finance Director for APAC for our finance and accounting team in APAC region covering Australia, India, Japan , China, and the regional hub in Singapore , including other markets through distributor relationships . You will be part of the greater finance team which also includes controlling . Y ou will report to th e Corporate Controller . This position is placed in Singapore or in Melbourne Australia .

In th e role of Finance Director , you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate reporting for those countries and markets in the region . The role will manage and oversee the Accounting, Financial Reporting and Risk & Controls activities, while engaging heavily with the Corporate Controller and the individual in-market Finance Controllers. You will also work with the commercial and operational management as well as the FP&A function to ensure th at new business initiatives are understood and implemented correctly from a finance and accounting perspective .
As such, this role will constantly require you to interact and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Corporate and APAC Management.
Y ou thrive in a dynamic international environment and see the importance of meeting deadlines and being accurate . You feel comfortable with reaching out to stakeholders both internal and external and have a positive diplomatic approach .
Your key responsibilities
Lead and provide strategic direction
Maintain and enhance the region’s accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives
Lead the monthly financial close activities of the region
Oversee a standardized regional balance sheet review process
Work closely with Internal / External Audit to facilitate SOX, quarterly reviews, and year-end integrated audits.
Your Qualifications
Relevant degree in accounting or finance
+ 10 years of experience from a similar role
Experience from an international set-up
S tructured , systematic and eye for details.
Good communication and collaboration skills
Analytical
P roficient level in MS office , Navision
Fluent English (spoken and written) is mandatory
