We have an immediate need for a Consolidated Automated Support Systems (CASS) Maintainer in Odon, Indiana. NSWC Crane Division is tasked with performing Airborne EW activities for the U.S Navy, U.S Army, Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers as well as other Department of Defense organizations. Airborne EW activities include the support of Airborne EW systems, subsystems, equipment, and components, such as electronic detection and guidance devices including electronic surveillance measures (ESM), electronic protection (EP), electronic countermeasures (ECM) and electronic attack (EA).
Duties:
- Troubleshoot and repair sophisticated Electronic Warfare (EW) test systems including the AN/USM-636 Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS) family of testers used for the EA-18G Growler and P-8A Poseidon aircraft including all associated EW systems
- Be familiar with various configurations of CASS including Block I, II, and III, Hybrid, RF, High Power Device Test Set (HPDTS) and Reconfigurable Transportable CASS (RT CASS), both RF and HPDTS
- Operate the Self-Maintenance Automated Test (SMAT) and the CALIBRATION TPS and test and troubleshoot routine problems
- Perform scheduled maintenance and unscheduled maintenance including removal and replacement of faulty sub-assemblies
- On-equipment work may encompass chassis, wire harness, and connector repairs; micro miniature circuit repairs/mods; dielectric fluid coolant and air-cooling heat transfer systems, high-power radio frequency (RF) device testing and adjustment, and validation of calibration requirements..
Required Education:
- High school/vocational school degree or GED certificate
Required Experience:
- Must have completed a military course of instruction in:
- USMC: CASS High Power Configuration Operator/Maintainer/Technician (C-198-6109) or
- Navy: C-198-3071, AN/USM-636A (V) 9 High Power Device Test Station/Radar Intermediate Maintenance or
- Navy: C-198-3044, AN/USM-636A (V) Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS) Common Core Intermediate Maintenance or
- Navy: NETC CASS Operator/ Maintainer CNATTU
- Verifiable military service in Navy NEC 6705/6725 or USMC MOS of 6467/6469
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
