Based on the Treasure Coast of Florida, Palmera Construction specializes in quality marine, aerial and underground construction. Palmera Construction is a one-stop shop for any coastal construction services such as boat lifts, docks, upland development, permit services, and even marina construction and development. Palmera Construction also builds and services aerial advertising billboards.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Palmera Construction is looking for a Marine and Aerial construction worker with experience. Familiarity with structures, docks, seawalls, and aerial advertising billboards. Understand equipment, processes, and tools commonly used. Ability to work with steel, concrete, lumber, and other construction materials. Valid driver’s license required. Willingness to travel outside of the local area as needed. Will be working in and around water. You MUST BE hard working, reliable, and have reliable transportation. This is a physically demanding job, but very rewarding.

• Marine construction, building construction, carpentry, or framing experience preferred (on the job or in school)
• Read, understand, and build according to construction plans
• Utilize various tools and equipment to safely and efficiently construct docks, seawalls, and aerial billboards.
• Efficiently execute tasks such as: digging and installing, carpentry, decking, electric, etc.
• Work with other crew personnel in a safe, organized, productive, and enjoyable work environment treating everyone with dignity and respect
• Some on the job training provided with the opportunity to learn welding, crane operating, barge driving, removal/installation of boat lifts.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• A valid driver’s license is preferred; Class A CDL is highly desired.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 75+ pounds and climb heights
• Available to work 9-10 hours during peak construction season.
• Ability to take direction
• Produce quality work in an efficient manner
• Willingness to maintain and operate construction tools in a safe and proper manner
• Good verbal and communication skills.
• Must be willing to work outside in the elements. Ability to swim.
• Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read, understand, and execute blueprints, drawings, and plans.
• Ability to make intelligent and quick decisions to resolve problems effectively.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Minimum 1-year experience and/or schooling in the construction industry.
• This position reports to the job site daily. Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and auto insurance are required.

Benefits:

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
