Scodeller Construction, Inc. has been a full-service heavy construction company for over forty years. Our present and prior work includes multi-state, county and municipal road work.

We are hiring Laborers with road construction experience to work out of our Plain City, OH location. This position is full time and will include overtime and weekend work based on demand. Scodeller Company Inc. offers competitive wages along with health benefits and 401K. The Laborer is responsible for performing tasks involving physical labor at highway and heavy construction projects under the supervision of a foreman or superintendent. Must know, understand, and use a variety of hand and power tools. Must know and practice safe work site procedures.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

· Maintain a clean job site: pick up and clean all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards

· Adhere to safety policies and procedures

· Must possess the ability to work independently or as a member of a team

· Must have basic math skills, be able to measure and read measurements

· Other related work as required

Physical Requirements:

· Regularly works near heavy machinery and outside in all weather conditions

· Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds, push or pull objects and climb in and out of excavations with or without the use of a ladder

· Kneeling, crouching, bending, stooping, lifting, reaching, standing and walking on uneven ground

Additional Requirements:

· Must have reliable transportation

· Ability to pass drug screening/physical

· Possession of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus, bonuses offered for CDL carriers
