Job description

The Genesee County Road Commission is seeking candidates for the position of Construction Project Engineer to perform professional Civil Engineering tasks to include the following: prepares cost estimates, makes grade inspections and reviews plans for roads and bridges, oversees construction projects, interprets and enforces contract specifications and documents for road, bridge, culvert and storm sewer design projects from inception through final completion and supervises lower level employees.

This position requires a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience or a Bachelor of Construction Management with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience, knowledge of computer software with emphasis in Microsoft Office/CAD applications and a valid Michigan Driver’s License. Experience in Bridge Inspection and Evaluation and possession of P.E. in Michigan is desirable.

Salary range $61,445 - $67,456, with comprehensive benefit package included, but not limited to Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, Life Insurance, paid holidays and vacation, pension and deferred compensation. Resumes will be accepted until the position is filled. EOE
