JOB SUMMARY
The Contract Compliance Advisor role is a temporary project-specific assignment and will continue until project completion in 2027 or until no longer required. This role will report to the Clean Ammonia Expansion Procurement Manager at the project office near Geismar, LA and will involve some occasional travel. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure contractor and all sub-contractors are adhering to Nutrient policies and procedures.
- Continuously monitor the status of project materials and services to maintain accurate records that establish contract performance standards.
- Monitor project procurement process for ensuring contract compliance across sourcing activities and keep supplier accountable for the defined scope of contract.
- Ensure all contractual milestones, notifications and deadlines are met with external parties (government, suppliers, customers)
- Manage and enforce contractual accountability across supplier and internal stakeholders to maintain strong working contracts and relationships.
- Maintain regular engagement with key stakeholders to ensure all contractors adhere to tern outlined in contracts and to Nutrien policies.
- Communicate frequently with site operations team members, Expansion Procurement Manager, and Expansion Business Manager for Supplier feedback and contract adherence.
- Monitor supplier performance and risk management as it relates to capital project delivery, including performing audits of contractor activity to ensure it mees Nutrien standards and policies.
- Coordinate with Sr. Buyer and Capital Procurement Manager to develop a deep understanding of terms and requirements outlined in contracts.
- Collaborate with primary contractors to obtain visibility into all sub-contractor contracts to review against Nutrien standards.
- Prepare and maintain reporting on contracts utilized for the Clean Ammonia expansion project.
- Validate reporting requirements for project related contracts and sub-contracts.
- Engage regularly with all contracted parties to keep key stakeholders informed of all reporting and execution requirements outlined in contracts.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 4+ years relevant experience in contract management, procurement for projects
- Contract administration best practices
- Experience with major categories such as: Engineering services, Procurement services, Construction services
- Broad experience in supply chain, source-to-contract and source-to-pay processes and tools, and a more targeted experience in supplier contract execution, supplier relationship & contract management and supplier risk management.
- Track record of effectively driving and managing organizational change and influencing diverse audiences to achieve challenging objectives
- Analytical abilities and experience using quantitative insights to make decisions and influence stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, management
- Technical Skills
- Deep familiarity with the Microsoft office suite and other analytical software (e.g., Tableau) and the ability to learn quickly
- Clear and solid understanding of, and practical experience with, enterprise asset management systems (SAP/Oracle), spend management tools (e.g., Ariba, Analysis & Reports), data management tools and source-to-pay systems (eProcurement)
- Certifications in disciplines such as Procurement (SCMP/CPSM), Inventory Management (CIPS), Lean / Six Sigma, or Operational Planning preferred, but not required
