- Analyzes financial and costing data to ensure accurate financial reporting and costing for pricing and profitability analysis.
- Embraces data analytics, Power BI, data warehouse reporting, and other tools to monitor and analyze information.
- Works with technical resources and function leads to ensure a cohesive, solution focused organization.
- Offer data informed recommendations for efficiency improvements, cost controls, and risk mitigation.
- Identify risks in internal controls and support any changes needed to processes or procedures.
- Supports ongoing continuous improvement through revenue and expense analysis and trends identification.
- Ensures US GAAP compliant financial reporting including variance analysis and reconciliations.
- Engagement with quarterly/annual audit.
- Ensures contracts are classified correctly according to ASC-606.
- Includes interfaces with sales, engineering, and internal/external audit.
- Responsible for alignment with corporate shared services for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Management, and other support as needed.
- Identifies and prioritizes goals, initiatives, and actions necessary to ensure financial reporting, strategy, and forecasting are timely and accurate.
- Acts as an effective member of the Finance team supporting business demands. Can interpret, execute, and suggest improvements to directives from site and business leadership while working in a teaming environment to positively influence others.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
- Five years of Accounting/Finance/Costing experience.
- Critical thinking skills and self-motivated
- Ability and adaptability to manage multiple job duties, tasks, and/or projects with competing priorities.
- Application of critical thinking skills to diagnose and solve complex problems.
- Self-motivated and effective communicator through verbal, written, and presentation platforms.
- Proficient in Microsoft products.
- Ability to receive input and direction from multiple layers of the organization and in turn translate, act, and deliver to varied audiences.
- Leadership qualities working in cross functional teams, building relationships, fostering inclusion, and generating mutual participation.
- Support and personal commitment and representation of the Moog Culture and Philosophy.
- Strong cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiar with SAP ERP system and/or OneStream.
- Proven track record of business partnering to achieve business goals and targets.
