Our continued growth has created another excellent opportunity! We are seeking a controller at Clare Holdings.
The Controller has the responsibility for managing the accounting, budgeting, and forecasting for the consolidating operating companies.

This position is part of the support team at Clare Holdings, located in North Aurora. Clare Holdings is the parent company to Euclid Beverage, the largest Miller Coors distributor in Illinois, Island Saints, the leading beverage distributor in the USVI and British Virgin Islands, and Merchants Market, one of the largest food distributors to the Caribbean. The position interacts constantly with the operating company controllers and executive management. The position reports to the corporate CFO.

Responsibilities include:

• Coordinate the annual budget process in collaboration with the operating companies.
• Create the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages.
• Provide analytic insight to the operation.
• Manage the annual audit.
• Contribute to the decision-making process at all levels of the company.
• Manage indirect costs and vendor relationships.

The successful candidate will possess:

• Entrepreneurial approach and can-do attitude
• Drive and sense of urgency. We like to move fast!
• Accounting degree. CPA highly preferred
• Ten years or more accounting experience
• Three or more years-experience in a controller role
• Verifiable technical competence in accounting, consolidations, and systems
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
