This permanent position is for a Controller who will work in the Tualatin, Oregon region. Candidates who can plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff, will be preferred for this position. - Assure client expectations are met by reviewing deliverables of self and team
- Manage finance department operations, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
- Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure efficient and successful firm-wide operation
- Analyze, apply and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
- Prepare cash-flow reports that project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and handle daily cash management
- Perform tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis
- Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor on a monthly basis
- Occasionally perform duties beyond formal job responsibilities
- Time monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is punctual
- Give executive committee and partners monthly financial reports
- Research, plan and implement Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication and social skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
- Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus
- Excellent technology, analytics and management experience required
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
- Strong attention to detail
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel
- Comprehensive knowledge of Excelsius
- CPA/MBA preferred
- Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
- Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
- Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
- The ideal candidate will be highly-skilled with exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills
