The Extracare Charitable Trust are recruiting for a part time Cook (2nd Chef) to join our friendly and supportive catering team at Rosewood Court Retirement Scheme, based in Wellingborough, NN8 1LQ.

Role Details

• Role: Chef
• Hours: 16 hours per week
• Contract: Permanent - Part Time
• Rate: £10.20 per hour, (£8,509 pa, pro rata of FTE)
• Location: Rosewood Court Retirement Scheme, Wellingborough, NN8 1LQ.

Main responsibilities:

• Be responsible for providing homemade traditional meals
• Offer residents an excellent choice of meals which provide good nutritional value
• Assist with other kitchen duties and ensure HACCP is followed
• Ensure the menus are prepared within budget.
• Be committed to provide the highest standards of hygiene at all times

Our ideal Chef will:

• Have experience of working in a similar environment
• Have previous experience of budgeting
• Possess high kitchen standards
• Have a presence at front of house.
• Ability to inspire and support the catering team
• Have empathy and understand our residents’ needs and dietary requirements
• Team player
• Passionate and enthusiastic with excellent communication skills.
