United Methodist Homes, a nonprofit senior living organization serving its -140-year mission to provide relationship-centered care is currently seeking a Full-Time Cook Supervisor to work on our Wesley Village campus located in Shelton, CT in our Assisted Living Community: Wesley Heights.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Preparing food for a senior population, catering to varied diet requirements
• Adhering to all federal, state and company policies on service, sanitation, etc.
• Ability to effectively manage other dining team members
• Flexibility to jump in and do whatever needs to be done
• Impeccable customer service skills and a genuine love and respect for seniors

Requirements:

• 1 year experience cooking in a senior living or other health care environment, a plus.
• ServSafe Certification.
• Availability for days & evening shifts, as well as every other weekend.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Willingness to undergo a complete background check, including physical and drug screen.
