JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: This position will provide administrative support to the Director of Admissions and Recruitment and the Office of Student Affairs of the College of Pharmacy in the planning, development, and implementation of student recruitment (high school and college) and admissions.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in the College’s recruitment efforts for potential candidates for admission to the professional program.
  • Utilizes digital media platforms for recruitment initiatives.
  • Represents and promotes the College of Pharmacy through participation in college fairs, conferences, and other community programs.
  • Schedules invited students for their admissions interview.
  • Provides staff support to the admissions committee.
  • Coordinates and track faculty and student participation for all interview days.
  • Provides staff support to the Director of Admissions and Recruitment and the Associate Dean for Student Affairs.
  • Monitor completion of pre-matriculation requirements (background checks, immunization requirements, CPR certification) and student holds, and assist students as needed with these requirements.
  • Completes purchases and travel reimbursements for all recruitment and admissions activities within the Office of Student Affairs.
  • Recruit potential applicants for the Direct Admissions Program.
  • Responsible for creating student files for admitted students.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)


EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Student Affairs. Experience gained as an undergraduate student may count towards this requirement. Desired experience includes student advising, mentoring, Ambassador or student leader positions, and recruitment.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:


  • Strong skills in written and oral communication, proven ability in exhibiting strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong technology skills including word processing

WORK SCHEDULE


Position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekend, evening hours, and some travel.
