About St Isaac Jogues Parish

St Isaac Jogues is a Catholic parish in Hinsdale, Illinois. Our parish community includes 2,600 families as well as a growing school. If you attend one of our masses, you will quickly get the feeling that our parish is thriving. Our parish and school are growing under the leadership of Father Burke Masters. In addition to serving as St Isaac Jogues pastor, Father Burke is the chaplain for the Chicago Cubs and writes a popular blog - The Baseball Priest.

St Isaac Jogues parish is a dynamic Catholic community where all can truly belong - lifelong Catholics, those just beginning to explore Catholicism and those who are returning to Catholicism. We achieve our mission by implementing the vision of Bishop Hicks for the Diocese of Joliet. As a parish, we hope to:

• Faith in Action – Help parishioners to use their gifts and talents to serve the Lord and His people

Position Summary

This person will work closely with the Director of Evangelization and Adult Formation, who will be helping disciples discern their charisms. The Coordinator of Christian Services will develop a menu of opportunities to serve in the parish and the wider community and help parishioners connect their God-given charisms with the opportunities to serve.

Give shelter to travelers

• Affordable housing (THM)
• PADS

Visit the sick

• Homebound ministry - Communion

Visit the imprisoned

• Develop a prison ministry

Bury the dead

• Funeral planning

Comforting the sorrowful

• Elizabeth Ministry
• Bereavement Ministry
• Divorce and Annulment Ministry

Praying for the living and the dead

• Our Lady’s Rosary Makers

Liaison between the pastor and:

• Seeds of Service coordinator
• Hospital ministry coordinator
• Addiction ministry coordinators
• Mission trip coordinators (medical, construction, youth)
• Respect Life Ministry coordinator
• Charitable Contributions Committee coordinator
• Blood drive coordinator

Handles other duties as assigned

Who You Are

• Some experience in ministry is preferred

• Bachelor’s degree required; a degree in ministry is preferred if the candidate does not have experience

• Demonstrated experience in working with a wide variety people to achieve organizational goals/strategies and implement project initiatives
