Hesston College seeks applicants for a 9-month, full-time Coordinator of Student Success and Retention who oversees the Access Lab, the Student Success center on campus. Responsibilities include:

  • Arranging tutoring and study groups
  • Hiring and supervising student workers (Peer Educators)
  • Managing the campus-wide retention management system
  • Communicating with constituents across campus
  • Supporting students in need of academic accountability
  • Working closely with Academic Dean on all student success initiatives, including semester-end letters to students of concern
  • Creating and maintaining grade reports for specific groups of students
  • Proctoring exams and advising students

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or higher, experience working in an educational setting and a commitment to Christian higher education and the mission and values of Hesston College. Additional desired qualifications include a relational and flexible approach to working with a wide variety of students, ability to take initiative and create support systems based upon student needs, attention to detail and ability to multitask, comfort with technology, and excellent oral and written communication skills.

Located about 30 minutes north of Wichita, Kansas, Hesston College is a private liberal arts college that operates on a two-plus-two model. Historically a two-year college, most of Hesston's more than 50 programs of study are two-year transfer programs. Hesston also offers a four-year bachelor's degree program in nursing and aviation, and keeps an eye on industry trends and student needs to develop programs and offerings to best meet those needs. Pay: $36,500.00 - $37,000.00 per year
