The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks a Counselor-PSYCH-SOM.
Key Duties, Primary Responsibilities:
- To provide initial and ongoing psychiatric and counseling assessments to patients living with HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) Infection)
- To provide clinical assessment, treatment planning and patient/family counseling and education according to government and department standards
Annual Salary Range – $45,395 - $63,000
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Counseling, Mental Health, Social Work or related Human Services field required
- Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement
- Must be able to obtain the Alcohol & Drug Counselor License within thirty (30) months of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
