Boudoir Bar Café is a European-inspired café offering quality coffee, delicious treats and savory eats in downtown Whitefish, Montana.
We are seeking a Counter Server with 1+ years of customer service experience who will confidently perform various day-to-day tasks including, but not limited to, welcoming customers in a friendly and polite manner, taking and facilitating customers’ orders, serving and packaging food and drinks, memorizing and explaining the menu to customers, and accepting payments. Listening carefully to customers to ensure accuracy while taking orders, demonstrating exceptional problem-solving abilities, and delivering outstanding customer service are necessary skills for this position.
Counter Server responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing excellent service, hospitality, and a great café experience for guests while greeting customers warmly as they arrive and making them feel welcome throughout their entire experience in the café with on-brand appropriate language
- Communicating and facilitating guest’s requests, comments, and questions to supervisors
- Prepping and stocking register area, while assisting with opening tasks and throughout the business day
- Directing and helping customers with their payments, seating, and to the restroom,
- Answering questions about the menu and communicating special requests as needed
- Communicating food and drink orders to café staff in an organized and efficient manner
- Assembling and packaging takeout orders, packaging treats consistently in a hospitable manner consistent with Boudoir Bar Café’s high standards
- Performing daily cleaning, dishwashing, and organizing tasks as directed
- Appropriately offer positive and/or constructive feedback to team members on the quality and consistency of order preparation, cleanliness, professionalism, and customer service delivery
- Accomplishing daily activities and complying with nutritional and sanitation and safety standards while following operational instructions
- Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all coworkers, customers, and vendors in all business settings
- Communicate inventory needs to supervisor for an exceptional customer experience
Requirements and skills:
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling processes
- Outstanding customer service work experience in a restaurant, bakery, or bar setting
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Understanding and willingness to follow hygiene and food safety rules
- Strong attention to detail, knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Physical and mental ability to stand for long hours amongst groups of people
- Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable transportation for commute and/or plan to relocate before starting work

Compensation based on work experience. Benefits based on shift duration and weekly hour minimums. Full Time is defined as 32-40 consistent hours a week and/or a salary paid FT position. Part Time is defined as less than 32 hours a week. After a successful 90 day Probation Period, FT and PT employee benefits include:
- Starting Pay: $15/hour depending on experience, PLUS cash & credit card tips
- FT (32-40+ hours): PTO, accrued vacation, health insurance, The Wave Membership and Food and Drink Discounts.
