Job duties:
  • The County Administrative Support Specialist II for the Aiken County office performs a variety of Human Resources/Accounting/Administrative/Clerical duties. Exercises judgement and discretion in various duties performed for the agency.

  • Personnel Duties: Perform personnel/clerical duties as directed. Coordinate and produce ID cards for employees of Aiken and surrounding counties. Coordinate special events such as Employee Appreciation and Holiday Celebrations. Maintain inventory of keys, issue keys, and document their return. Distribute FOBS and maintain database. Process and maintain Constituent concerns.

  • Accounting Duties: Receive and process claim payments and other necessary adjustments to accounts for the Aiken office and end process claims from the North Augusta office using established policy and procedures. Retain accurate and updated documentation for all payments and funds received. Update the agency phone directory and post to the 'G' drive quarterly. Rotate stock and keep shelves stocked and area organized in the supply area. Create supply order lists from requests from staff and/or needs in stock area and provide to business manager. Restock and/or provide to staff when order is received. Process janitorial supply requests. Maintain computer log quarterly verifying location and assignment of computers and peripheral equipment. Assist with destruction of old records according to the retention schedule. Request county purchase orders, process payments, and maintain accounts associated with the county budget. Place work orders for county building as necessary.

  • Perform Administrative functions for the County Director such as answer phone, filing, arranging meeting space, prepare letters, spreadsheets, and other reports as needed. Maintain data reports from CAPSS, ADR, and CRSR/QA outcomes.

  • Performs Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty and services as directed.

Agency Requirements

A High School Diploma and two (2) years of clerical experience.

Selected positions may require the ability to type at a corrected rate of 35 words a minute.
