Job Summary: This volunteer fellowship opportunity is designed for an individual looking to gain creative direction experience, with the aim of their career path leading to a creative director position in the field of marketing, brand management, or advertising. This individual will assist in leading a team of thinkers and doers, while gaining experience, marketing expertise, and the workflow understanding essential to succeeding in a future creative director role. The ideal candidate is passionate about inspiring others and assisting in the creation of relevant, provocative, and impactful campaigns. Additionally, the best candidate will have a natural eye for design and a drive to inspire dynamic ideas that connect with all types of audiences.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build, lead, and review work of the creative team in the production of all web, print, and digital marketing collateral
- Spearhead and manage content strategy for both small-scale and large-scale projects, harnessing strategy, digital and brand design, compelling content, and technology
- Collaborate with the marketing and sales departments in developing marketing plans, analyzing results, and identifying opportunities
- Develop internal marketing campaigns that translate marketing objectives across business units into clear and motivating creative strategies
- Analyze brand tracking, market trends, consumer need, and the competitive landscape
- Meet budget standards by forecasting and managing expenses campaigns
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience creating marketing/advertising campaigns from developing vision and the messaging platform to overseeing production on time and budget.
- Master’s degree (in progress) or admission to a graduate program in marketing or design
- Prior experience with copywriting, design, or production
- Prior project management experience, with a focus on creative direction
WORK SCHEDULE 13-15 Hours Weekly
