Bank of Pontiac is seeking professional, outgoing candidates for our Credit Analyst. Bank of Pontiac opened its doors for business in 1947. The Credit Analyst Position will perform financial analysis of commercial borrowers in accordance with bank policy and regulatory guidelines. Candidates must be personal and professional. This individual will primarily be in direct contact with members of the loan department but must be able to communicate with clients relative to the collection of financial information and documentation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough analysis of financial statements and assessment of credit reports, including new requests, changed requests, refinancing, and annual due diligence.
- Provide written overview tied to analysis and assessment of credit risk.
- Present analysis, findings, and overview to loan officers and senior management
- Keep up to date with Bank of Pontiac lending policies and procedures.
- Develop, prepare, and maintain spreadsheets / tickler reports.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or other business-related field.
- Previous experience in loan-related financial analysis preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, ratios, and concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office and general computer use.
- Must be able to communicate with co-workers and clients.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to notice discrepancies in data.
- Must possess an understanding of the importance of confidentiality.
- Must be able to work Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
