Job Type:
FT: 40 hours per week
PRN: Works 29-hrs/wk or less.
Starting pay for full time employment is up to $15.97 per hour based on experience. PRN pay is $13.00 per hour.
Shifts Available:
5:30am – 11:30am and/or
2pm – 8pm

Summary

The primary purpose of this job position is to be responsible for creating an enjoyable dining experience for residents and their guests in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, with our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Dining Services Management team, to assure that quality service is provided at all times. Prepares and delivers food to EdenHill residents and maintains kitchen, work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Responsible for creating an enjoyable dining experience for residents and their guests.

· Performs side jobs in preparation for service. Example: Rolling silverware, cleaning, busing tables, prepping salad, plating deserts, making condiments, pouring soup, records alternate requests, etc..

· Reads diet spreads on menu board in addition to meal tickets to determine correct items placed on trays per resident diet order.

· Places items such as eating utensils, napkins, and condiments on trays and examines filled tray for completeness and places tray in cart.

· Serves food to residents on tray line and pushes meal delivery carts through halls or neighborhood kitchens.

· Collects and scrapes food from dirty dishes, pots, pans, and trays and them on cart to return to dishroom to wash them by hand or place them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine.

· Cleans work area, tables, cabinets, walls, refrigerators, cutting boards, and ovens using various methods such as sweep, moping, wiping, scrubbing, steam cleaning, sanitizing, and polishing in compliance with all sanitation, safety and sanitation rules and regulations.

· Collects and segregates garbage or trash and places into designated containers.

· Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.

· Follows established style and order of service while serving in the main dining room and at special functions when setting up the dining room.

· Possesses the ability to follow instructions, work well with others and maintain a good rapport with residents to promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for all.

· Refers all problems to the Dining Service Management team.

· Follows rules concerning personal appearance and work performance.

· Maintains confidentiality of residents’ personal and medical record information.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Must display and be a model to others on the EdenHill Spirit hospitality behavior models.
