McConway & Torley is looking for a Custodian. As a Custodian you will perform heavy-duty cleaning and related maintenance work in an assigned area or building complex.

Location: Kutztown, PA

What You’ll Do:

• Successfully Complete Training as Custodian
• Maintain attendance within acceptable standards
• Use and maintain hand tools and power equipment such as brooms, mops, squeegees, vacuums, carpet cleaners, floor machines, power washers, and other tools required for the cleaning and general maintenance of the facilities.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, showers and the fixtures located in these areas.
• Empty wastebaskets and trash containers and assist with recycling and composting program.
• Sweep, dry and wet mop, scrub, and condition vinyl floor, terrazzo, ceramic floor tiles, hardwood floors, and other floor surfaces. Vacuum and shampoo carpets and furniture.
• Replace toilet paper, paper towels, and restroom supplies as needed.
• Clean walls, windows, mirrors, vents, display cases, etc.
• Set-up and remove furniture for special events.
• Perform custodial maintenance of required areas.
• Be available to work any/all shifts.

What You Need:

• At least one year of experience
• The ability to operate necessary equipment and machinery
• High school diploma or GED

Working Conditions:

• Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
• This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
• Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant

• Know and follow all safety rules and procedures.
• Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned.
