Base Salary Range: $72,400.00 - $90,500.00

Target Total Cash Range: $86,880.00 - $108,600.00

Target Total Cash: Target total cash represents this role's annualized cash earning potential at target (base salary + target bonus). Target total cash is contingent on targeted company performance achievement and individual attainment of performance goals. Therefore, target total cash is not guaranteed earnings.

Description & Requirements

The Customer Sales Analyst is an internal sales position that provides business insights and volume growing recommendations through category research to the Kroger Customer Business Teams. The CSA ensures that customer- consumer- and internal information are used to build knowledge and insights that can be used to improve overall performance and results. Under the direction of the team and planning organization- the CSA identifies and addresses new and existing business opportunities across all Kraft Heinz categories and business teams supporting Kroger.

This position backs the application of category management to business issues- identifying business opportunities and providing an assessment of the sales controllable- including promotion- pricing- and assortment. The position also coordinates information-training activities- steers data for sales planning- and continually works to improve sales category management value to the team. The CSA is knowledgeable- skilled in manipulating data from a variety of sources- and can complete grocery industry category management standards.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Area professional in the study of syndicated data (I2A: IRi & Numerator) and household panel data (Stratum) steering key insights and business recommendations on the key sales controllable of distribution and assortment- merchandising pricing- and promotion.
  • Ensures that the customer- consumer- and category insights are delivered successfully.
  • Conducts annual category reviews and periodic assessments.
  • Pulls relevant information to build effective selling stories.
  • Develops impactful customer specific selling stories that reflect key category business building initiatives.
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting & Analysis- T2T Decks

Data & Analytics Support:

  • Part of the Data & Analytic team – support Sr Manager of D&A on key initiatives as part of Kroger D&N Strategic Vision
  • High focus on I2A – both driving usage and adoption with the Kroger team
  • Become an I2A expert to: drive both thought leadership internally (with I2A team) and identify ways to leverage I2A effectively on a daily basis with internal routines/rituals and with the customer

Retail & Divisional Support:

  • Perfect Store Merch Tracker Update
  • 3Ps Updates Display Tracker
  • Shipper/Mod Tracking – support and monitor updates from CSMs/CSLs and CDMs
  • Power Window & Tent Pole Post Analysis
  • Working closely with Customer Division Managers to support data needs (outside current data support) and communicating key updates & upsell actions from CSMs/CSLs

Consumption Reporting & Analysis:

  • Weekly Newsletter shareout – topline business performance review
  • Market Share & Category Share Analysis & Insights- (from I2A)
  • Market Share Decom Analysis (I2A & Decision Tree)

Business Operations & Execution Support:

  • Stores Selling & Gap Analysis
  • IRI Set-up – Attributing UPC- Creating Groups/Templates- etc

Pricing & Promotional Support:

  • Feature & Display Weekly Tracker
  • Promo Lift Analysis
  • Promo Grid Maintenance
  • Market Pricing Reporting & Gap Analysis

Work Environment & Schedule:

This position is considered a Normal office environment with limited travel or visits to external locations; offices are open workspaces Additionally- this role requires the ability to work a salaried- exempt schedule to best execute against customer and internal expectations

Physical Requirements:

  • Operate a computer and view screens for ~100% of work schedule

Office Collaboration & Hybrid Work Environment
