THE OPPORTUNITY
Requirements
- Proficiency in written Canadian or British English.
- A willingness to learn and research.
- Capability to work remotely and efficiently on your own while also being able to recognize your short-comings and ask for help when needed.
- Ability to adhere to the Bishop Fox Cybersecurity Style Guide V2.0.
Nice to haves:
- Familiarity with OWASP frameworks such as the Top 10 and ASVS, Bugcrowd's VRT, Mitre CWE, and the Common Vulnerability Scoring System.
- Past experience in a cyber security role or familiarity with cyber security concepts.
- Basic familiarity with GIT and GitHub.
- Familiarity with markdown formatting.
What you’ll be working on
As a cyber security technical writer, you'll join a small team of remote information security researchers and developers across Canada and Europe in creating content for an internal vulnerability template library. You will be responsible for writing detailed summaries, severity descriptions, remediation steps, and providing resources and references for common vulnerabilities. Additionally you will be responsible for providing quality assurance and editing of vulnerability assessment and pentest reports.
