Description

The Industrial Control System (ICS) Architect position is a new role within the existing IT Cybersecurity organization with strong organizational links to Global Operations, Production Facilities Engineering and Technology. The role requires seamlessly working within a blend of IT Security, Engineering and OEM practices. The primary objectives of this role are twofold. Firstly, to ensure that the industrial control and safety systems throughout global operations are secure and reliable; Secondly that the Enterprise is not impinged through a vulnerable industrial control systems infrastructure.

The support and betterment of ConocoPhillips Industrial Control Systems security architecture is the primary function. This scope includes existing all brownfield facilities, consultancy to capital projects and joint ventures, inhouse/operational projects and the secure architecting of emerging technologies.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Secure Basic Process Control and Safety System Network Architecture Design and Consultation
  • ICS EndPoint Security/Hardening Guidance and Strategy
  • ICS Backup & Configuration Management Strategy
  • Support and development of Integrated ICS/IT Disaster Recovery/Incident Response capabilities, including Active Monitoring (Corporate SIEM Integration and ICS Threat Detection)
  • Evaluation of CERT/OEM Vulnerabilities and development of response strategies
  • Engagement with IT and Operational Risk Assessment
  • ICS OEM/Vendor Collaboration
  • Support of the ICS Internal Audit Program
  • Support of global regulatory requirements as they pertain to ICS Security
  • Support/Development of Internal Standards and Practices
  • Consultancy services to Capital Projects and Joint Ventures

Qualifications


Basic/Required:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, or an alien admitted as a permanent resident, refugee or asylee
  • 3+ years of experience with ICS Cyber Security
  • Intermediate knowledge of ICS related Industry Standards and Frameworks, specifically IEC 62443 and NIST
  • Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to travel up to 25% of the time to international and domestic locations

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Cyber Security, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or other related Petro-Technical discipline, or Foreign Equivalent
  • Engineering Qualifications or Certifications – Professional or Chartered Engineer or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in engineering
  • 1+ years of experience with one or more of the following Industrial Automation and/or IT Vendors Honeywell, Emerson, Siemens, ABB, Yokogawa, Rockwell, Cisco, Microsoft and Firewall certifications
  • 1+ years of experience with Corporate/Facility Risk Assessment Processes
  • 1+ years of experience with MMS Systems & Change Management
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain offshore survival certification
  • Cyber Security Certifications (E.G. CEH, CISSP)
  • Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP) advantageous
  • Self-starter and highly organized
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal and influencing skills for interacting with various levels in the organization
  • Delivers results through realistic planning to accomplish goals
  • Generates effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions that are safe and ethical
