DAS ETL Senior Experienced Architect Needed ($70/hr, 1099 contract)

We are currently seeking a DAS ETL Senior Experienced Architect with hands-on experience leading and architecting projects in Big Data. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience designing and architecting ETL solutions on Hadoop / Azure Platforms for large companies, 8 years of experience doing development work using Programming Languages such as Java / C / Scala / Python, 8 years of Leadership experience leading design teams and Developers working on ETL solutions on Big Data Platforms, and 8 years of hands-on shell scripting experience on Linux / Unix / AIX in support of automating ETL solutions using Scheduling Tools.

This is a 1099 contract position with an hourly rate of $70 per hour. We would prefer the candidate to be onshore in either Chicago or Richardson.

Responsibilities:

• Design and architect ETL solutions on Hadoop / Azure Platforms for large companies
• Lead and mentor design teams and developers working on ETL solutions on Big Data Platforms
• Develop ETL solutions using Programming Languages such as Java / C / Scala / Python
• Support automating ETL solutions using Scheduling Tools and hands-on shell scripting experience on Linux / Unix / AIX
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery

Requirements:

• 8-10 years of hands-on experience with designing and architecting ETL solutions on Hadoop / Azure Platforms for large companies
• 8 years of experience doing development work using Programming Languages such as Java / C / Scala / Python
• 8 years of Leadership experience leading design teams and Developers working on ETL solutions on Big Data Platforms
• 8 years of hands-on shell scripting experience on Linux / Unix / AIX in support of automating ETL solutions using Scheduling Tools
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
