POSITION TITLE: Data Analytics Analyst

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Analyst – Data Analytics position will develop answers to questions through the examination and interpretation of data; by identifying issues, determining the availability of suitable data, deciding on which methods are appropriate for answering the questions of interest, applying the methods, and evaluating, summarizing, and communicating the results.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Works with requestors to obtain requirements/scope of requested reports.

2. Works with the Director of Technology – Data Analytics and Lead Architect to have functionality incorporated into existing websites as appropriate.

3. Create and Deploy SQL Stored Procedures using GIT.

4. Creates and modifies existing Microsoft SQL Integration Services (SSIS) jobs using Microsoft Visual Studio.

5. Designs and monitors the construction of user-facing presentation tools, such as Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports.

6. Establishes and implements standards and strategies for data management, lifecycle, and quality.

7. Defines best practices and standards for the data modeling process.

8. Demonstrates self-reliance in researching technical solutions and product functionality.

9. Continuously improves upon existing approaches by seeking opportunities to creatively transform current business practices into fresh alternative solutions.

10. Identifies critical integration issues and develops corrective solutions.

11. Communicates with team members to assess the progress of deliverables.

12. Recommend new and emerging technologies to solve business problems.

13. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience

Three years of direct, relevant experience. Knowledge of Benefits systems and databases would be a plus.

2 years of experience writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures.

2 years of experience creating and deploying SSIS packages using Microsoft Visual Studio.

Experience with GIT preferred.

Experience with Tableau or Microsoft Power BI preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER KEY SUCCESS FACTORS:

Subject matter expert (SME) Data Analytics and Reporting Services.

Works with requestors to obtain requirements/scope of requested reports.

Works with Lead Architect to have functionality incorporated into existing websites as appropriate.

Designs and monitors construction of user-facing presentation tools, such as Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports and Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) automation jobs

Establishes and implements standards and strategies for data management, lifecycle, and quality.
