Title: Datacenter Technician
Location: Staten Island & Financial District, NYC (on-site)
Terms: Full-time, W-2 Contractor, OT eligible, with Benefits
Shifts: Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM (1st shift), 9 AM - 6 PM (2nd shift) 10 AM - 7 PM (3rd shift) some weekend work may be required

The ability to travel to the following data centers/sites is required.
-NYC, Financial District HQ
-Staten Island, NY
-Secaucus, NJ
-Rye Brook, NY

Responsibilities:

• Perform data backup tape rotations
• Rack and stack any networking and server equipment
• Receive, ship and track any equipment for Datacenter
• Escort vendors while onsite and they are providing service in Data Center
• Troubleshooting circuits with internal Network Engineers and outside vendors
• Assist Network Engineers and vendors troubleshooting server, switches and router hardware
• Troubleshooting from a hardware level (PCs, Client Servers, Cisco Switches and Routers)
• Keep accurate notes and details on customer support requests.
• Be available to work either a first or second shift and participate in a rotating on-call list in order to provide 24/7 support.
• Handle miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as defined by management.
• Answer and complete support cases made via phone, ticket system, and email.
• Escalate to the appropriate group whenever network outages or assistance is required.
• Contact key personnel whenever a major failure occurs.
• Document any provider-level maintenance windows that will be service-impacting

Qualifications:

• 2 years' experience and strong knowledge of hardware replacement/troubleshooting (PCs, Servers, Switches, Routers)
• Flexibility in adjusting work schedule to accommodate priority needs, system downtime, and emergencies.
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent communications skills
• Strong MS Excel and Word skills
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team.
• An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field or equivalent relevant professional experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $33.00 - $36.00 per hour
