CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT/DATA MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (F3500) Bowhead is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist to join our team in supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center – Crane Division Advanced Radar Portfolio. The Configuration Management Specialist will work on a full-time basis at NSWC Crane.

• Performing the overall direction, planning, scheduling and coordination of configuration and documentation management functions
• Creating and assessing workflow processes for configuration identification, configuration control and configuration status
• Providing data management for various programs including establishing goals, developing flow charts, monitoring progress and reporting issues and achievements
• Assists in the establishment of the configuration management (CM) environment.
• Policy and procedure guidelines, CM planning, reporting and audits, product scope change control, version control, CM documentation and product component integration.
• Responsible for all assigned tasks in all areas of configuration management including implementing and maintaining tools necessary to support version and change control. Uses configuration management tools and bug tracking tools.

• A High School Diploma is required at a minimum, however a Bachelor’s degree is desired
• Prior experience supporting NSWC Crane is highly desired
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 15 to 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
