Job Description :-
We are seeking a data modeler to join our team of global data architecture. You will work with data architects to design and implement graphl QL APIs for new data platform. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining data models which are baseline for our databases/ pub-sub/business events/APIs . Company is going digital with implementation of APIs, pub/sub , business event etc. , so we need someone who can create and manage the Enterprise canonical data models across various data domains. This will be an excellent opportunity for you to learn more about our company and our industry.
Responsibilities
Below are some of the responsibilities a data modeler is expected to assume:
Work with the Application team to gather requirements for the database design and model.
Understand the data needs of the company or client.
Collaborate with the development team to design and build the database model in relational as well as
Write SQL to profile the data and find appropriate mappings.
Engage the development team to implement the database.
Determine the business needs for API reporting requirements.
Help to document and manage the respective reference data needs.
Adjust access to the data and the reports as needed.
Work closely with the development team to implement API for reporting.
Understand the company’s data migration needs.
Work with the development team to implement the migration.
Help to implement the querying.
Job Qualifications and Skill Sets
Below are the qualifications expected of a data modeler:
Knowledge of relational and NOSQL databases and data architecture computer systems e.g., Oracle, Cassandra, Druid , including SQL
Familiarity with or a bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, information technology, or data modeling
Knowledge of ER modeling, big data, enterprise data, conceptual/logical and physical data models
Familiarity with data modeling software such as SAP Power Designer, Microsoft Visio, or Erwin Data Modeler
Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred:
•Knowledge of Graph QL APIs, Apollo , Apigee.
•Knowledge of Azure Cloud especially with Azure Synapse.
