Role: Data Scientist

Location: Redmond, WA [Onsite]

• 8+ years of experience in working with large-scale, complex datasets to create/optimize Statistical, machine learning, deep learning, and/or optimization models.
• Good hands-on experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL and Hive), scripting languages (e.g. Python, R)
• Must have relevant working experience in an analytical role involving data extraction and analysis.
• Must have of relevant working experience in visualization tools (e.g. Microsoft Power BI).
• Directly interact with customers to understand and help solve their business problems using the HCL solutions.
• Make research and development contributions to our core service offerings
• Interact and collaborate with engineers and product managers, relaying feedback from customers to continually develop our service quality
• Explaining the state-of-the-art technology and working on proof-of-concept projects with a rapid turnaround.
• Build models and tools using machine learning, statistical modeling, probability and decision theory, and other quantitative techniques.
• Identifying relevant data sources for business needs and prepare data in a proper manner to extract insights from data sets and identifying trends and patterns
• Understand the business reality behind large sets of data and develop meaningful analytic solutions.
• Innovate by adapting to new modeling techniques and procedures.
• Improve upon existing methodologies by developing new data sources, testing model enhancements, and fine-tuning model parameters
• Communicating verbally and in writing to business customers and leadership team with various levels of technical knowledge, educating them about our systems, as well as sharing insights and recommendations
• Practical understanding and hands-on experience with regression (Linear, Non-Linear), time series and forecasting modelling.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively advocate technical solutions to research scientists, engineering teams and business audiences
• Hands-on experience with both supervised learning methods and unsupervised learning methods (K-means, hierarchical clustering, association rules, principal components).
