Data Systems Specialist
261 days/year (Year-round position)
8.0 hrs/day
$70,000 - $79,000/year

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS
  • Required: High School diploma or GED
  • Preferred: Associates or Equivalent Experience
  • Preferred: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Spreadsheets. Specific functionality, such as, pivot tables, formulas, etc.
  • Preferred: Advanced knowledge of Google software products
  • Proven data entry work experience
  • Familiarity with administrative duties
  • Attention to detail, Organizational skills, and Confidentiality
  • Ability to write and lead technical training

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties must be performed on site. Other duties or tasks may be assigned
  • Provide support and account creation for the business/student office software products primarily Tyler Infinite Vision, Frontline, Google and Powerschool suites of products.
  • Understand all processes and procedures for the software products (Tyler Infinite Vision, Frontline and Powerschool) including their database relationships and maintenance. Know the steps for all critical operational processes (i.e. running a payroll, creating an employee record, customized sql reports, etc.) to provide first line defense in issues that may arise to solve problems internally and also know when to escalate an issue to the software vendor support.
  • Act as secondary security officer for the Infinite Visions, Frontline and Powerschool products.
  • Assist with issues involving Infinite Visions, Frontline and Powerschool products.
  • Create/Assist reports to be used by a specific department or general population of users in the Infinite Visions, Frontline and Powerschool suite of products.
  • Maintaining the student and employee onboarding processes.
  • Create student registration processes
  • Create/Assist in Benefit Open Enrollment yearly processes.
  • Fulfill all data requests (internal and public records requests)
  • Create and maintain reports for SFTP/Integrations files to send information from Infinite Visions, Frontline, Classlink and Powerschool to other software products.
  • Create/Assist annual BEDS report.
  • Other duties as assigned
Fiscal year end duties:
  • Leave accrual and payout
  • Gather salary and benefit information for contract negotiations with the district’s bargaining unit.
  • Create a new database and roll Infinite Visions and PowerSchool to the new year.
  • Update user security and profiles to access new databases.
  • Create/Assist new fiscal year salary schedules.
  • Create/Assist accrued wages and pay assignments.
  • Create new Additional Hours (prorated hourly employees) and Combined Hourly Rate (positive pay hourly employees) pay assignments with new combined hourly rate of pay (base and differentials combined).
  • Adjust approver security profiles for employees who have changed positions or locations to ensure they receive proper notifications for their new assignments.
Calendar year-end duties:
  • Assist payroll with W-2, 1095 and 1099 processes.
