Department: Store Warehouse
Reports to: Distribution Center Manager
Reports to: Distribution Center Manager
Position: Non-Exempt/Hourly
Location: 1350 Wharf Road DuPont, WA 98327
NO cost health for Associates on the single coverage plan. Pay range of $20-22 DOE
Shifts available: Sun-Thur 2:30-11pm OR Tues-Saturday 12-Noon to 8:30pm
The Distribution Center Administrative Assistant performs a variety of clerical, administrative, transportation and logistical coordinating duties in support of the Secondary Distribution Center in DuPont, WA. In our fast-paced warehouse environment, this position responds to telephone/email/fax/text/chat regarding our merchandise reservations from Primary Distribution Centers and regional stores. This includes data entry, tracking and supporting the warehouse workers and delivery drivers.
What You Will Do
- Handle all incoming and outgoing communications at the Distribution Center.
- Prepare, maintain and monitor furniture reservation records, movement and delivery with support of the Distribution Center Manager and delivery driver and warehouse team.
- Perform office clerical and administrative tasks and operational support for Distribution Center Manager including:
- Preparing and submitting bi-weekly payroll hours and track employee schedules as assigned.
- Weekly data entry of inventory information, Daily Transaction Listings and other daily, weekly and monthly reports.
- Understand and adhere to our company policy and procedures in Distribution Center including all handouts, brochures and safety instructions.
- Provide administrative support for our warehouse and delivery drivers department as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Who You Are
- 2-3 years office/administrative experience. Ready to learn inventory, transportation or warehousing admin side.
- Experience with administrative matters for inner cities is highly appreciated.
- Sound math and PC skills, able to perform data entry and look up information and report.
- Strong organizational and customer-oriented communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and complete multiple tasks with accuracy.
- Can successfully complete the pre-employment background check and drug screen.
- General office and fast paced retail store and warehouse environment.
- Use of office machines, PC, phones and fax.
- Prolonged standing and sitting, walking in store and warehouse.
- Working hours will include weekends and holidays and will require flexibility.
- Some lifting, pushing and pulling of furniture up to 25lbs unassisted.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent GED, Associates degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
