Labette Community College

Our institution is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dean of Career & Technical Education (CTE) and Workforce to lead and grow our institutional offerings. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, evaluation, and facilitation of Labette’s program offerings that meet the needs of our diverse student population and community. Labette Community College seeks a Dean responsible for innovation, leadership and administration of a division that includes supervising career & technical education programs, workforce education, faculty and staff. This will be an exciting opportunity for the Dean to showcase their innovation in program development, grant writing, and collaborative efforts with business and industry. Some selected job functions include: grant writing, monitoring and reporting; program development; evaluation of outcomes and assessment reports; advisory committee duties; approve contracts; review, develop, revise, and recommend curriculum; develop, recommend, and manage budgets; evaluate faculty; develop and recommend course schedule offerings; analyze course offerings, enrollment numbers, and times courses are offered.

Salary range is $62,000 - $65,000.

Master’s degree, with skills in management and supervision of personnel and resources, computer capability in applications including spreadsheet, word processing, e-mail, etc., three years’ experience in teaching at the community college level, and two years background in career & technical education, knowledge of SB155 or Excel in CTE all required. Experience with oversite of faculty, knowledge of researched based teaching strategies and online instruction, and Perkins grant management preferred.
