POSITION: Dean of Nursing
POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Dean of Nursing will ensure that the mission and educational objectives of all Nursing Programs at Chattahoochee Technical College are attained; provide strategic leadership for planning, development, assessment, evaluation, and continuous improvement of curriculum and instruction; and be responsible for effective administration and operation of the programs and supervision and evaluation of assigned instructors and other personnel. The Dean of Nursing reports to the Executive Vice President of Instruction.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must have at least one (1) earned graduate degree in Nursing.
· Must hold a current Nursing license in Georgia in good standing from the initial date of employment as a registered professional nurse.
· At least three (3) years of teaching experience
· Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of progressively responsible academic leadership/management experience leading to a current or previous position of Program Director, Associate Dean, Division Chair, or Department Chair/Head.
· Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
· Proficient skills in Leadership, Budget Management, Technology Application, Interpersonal Relations, Strategic and Tactical Planning, Organizational Skills, Written and Oral Presentation Skills.
· Proficiency with Blackboard LMS functionality.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Resides in one of Chattahoochee Technical College’s service area counties.
SALARY/BENEFITS: $90,000 annual salary & $5000 signing bonus.Benefits include: paid holidays, annual leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program.
