Title: Dental Assistant
Location: North Fulton, Adamsville, & College Park. The dental team will be at Adamsville on M & F, North Fulton on Tuesday, & College Park on Wed-Thurs. Reimbursed 69 cents a mile
Duration: Direct Placement
Salary: 42,467 (benefits: 13 paid holidays, 3 weeks PTO, 3 weeks sick leave, 401k, pension, lunch and wellness breaks, will never work a weekend or holiday
Shift: M-F 8-5 (no weekends or holidays!
Start Date: ASAP
DAY TO DAY:
Under direct supervision, learns to assist the dentist and/or hygienist in chair-side dentistry. Prepares dental instruments. May perform administrative duties.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assists dentist in management of medical and dental emergencies
- Cleans and polishes removable appliances
- Exposes dental diagnostic x-rays
- Instructs a client in oral hygiene and plaque control programs
- Makes preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts
- Pours, trims, and polishes study casts
- Prepares clients, sterilizes and disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays, prepares materials, and assists dentist during dental procedures
- Provides postoperative instructions prescribed by dentist
- Records treatment information in client records
- Takes and records medical and dental histories and vital signs of clients
- Receives additional training, as required, to gain full proficiency and experience in all
MUST:
- Vocational/Technical degree in dental assisting from an accredited college
- Can be entry level as long as they has passion to work with underserved patients
- Flexibility
- Critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently with following state protocol
- Strong assessment skills

Pay: $42,467.00 per hour
